Residential Development, Thaxted, Essex

Prior to our involvement, outline planning permission had previously been granted for a residential development of up to 25 houses on land at the edge of Thaxted, a small village in Essex. However, securing approval for the reserved matters was proving to be slightly more problematic for a combination of factors.

However, working alongside BBR Design Ltd and Charnwood Landscape Design Ltd, new proposals were formulated and put to officers at Uttlesford District Council. Indeed, following extremely proactive and helpful pre-application discussions, a revised scheme was ultimately put forward formally. Such was met positively by officers who, following some negotiation, recommended to the Council’s Development Management Committee that it should be approved, which it is subsequently was.

In addition to those mentioned above, the design and consultancy team included Stomor Ltd, ACJ Ecology Ltd and OMC Associates.
